Artist's Description
View of the Marquette lighthouse located in the lower harbor of Marquette Michigan on Lake Superior. The Lighthouse is run by the US. Coast Guard. The lighthouse is built on rock and the entire area around the the lighthouse is all rock with pine trees growing on top of the rocks. My grand father Joseph Curry Was the Lighthouse Keeper there for many years and this is where my mother grew up.
About Tom Kelly
The photography you are observing is the work of Tom Kelly a long time mid western photographer who grew up in Michigan and a great fan of Michigan football. It was at the age of 12 that Tom discovered the magic of a black and white darkroom. From that point Tom began to shoot pictures of local events, from Boy Scouts to vacations on Lake Superior at Marquette where he was born and in Ann Arbor where he was schooled in fine arts, business and photography. Developing small business in shooting black and white photos and teaching artist how to present there work in slide presentation...
